Providing New York City children fitness, nutrition education, and social-emotional development
Gen Health offers comprehensive after-school programming for students in kindergarten through 8th grade in underserved communities across New York City. Currently serving approximately 500 students per month, our programs integrate fitness, nutrition education, and social-emotional development into a cohesive after-school experience.
Gen Health is incredibly grateful to the Rota Foundation for its $10,000 grant in support of our After School Program for Underprivileged Youth.
This support helped us continue providing children in New York City, with an emphasis on the Bronx, with a safe and nurturing place to learn, stay active, build relationships, and develop healthy habits.
Funding helped support the resources that make our daily programming possible, including school supplies such as backpacks and materials used for academic assistance, nutrition education, physical fitness, and social wellness activities.
These resources help us create engaging, hands-on experiences while ensuring students have practical supplies that support their learning and participation in the program.
The Rota Foundation’s support has helped Gen Health continue creating opportunities for children to strengthen their academic engagement, learn about nutrition and healthy choices, stay physically active, and build confidence, teamwork, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
We are deeply grateful for this investment in our program and in the children and families we serve.
