Community Help Desk provides essential resources to San Bernardino families

Foothill Family Shelter was established in 1984 in response to the growing number of families experiencing homelessness in the West End of San Bernardino County.

What began as a grassroots community effort has evolved into a comprehensive, phased housing program designed to help families overcome crisis and achieve long-term stability.

The Shelter serves low-income, homeless, or imminently homeless individuals and families, primarily single mothers, working parents, and their children, residing in Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, Montclair, Claremont, Pomona, and surrounding communities in California.

Many of the families served face complex barriers, including unemployment, domestic violence, mental health challenges, food insecurity, and lack of access to affordable housing.

Your investment directly strengthened our ability to serve families experiencing homelessness and housing instability across our region.

Based on your support, we were able to provide essential resources to approximately 85 families, impacting more than 270 individuals, including children, seniors and working parents.

Through the Community Help Desk, families received non-perishable food items, hygiene supplies, diapers, clothing vouchers and critical referrals for other local resources to vital services and healthcare resources.”
