Providing Support in a Sea of Change

crashing wave in the ocean

Welcome! We’re so glad you found us.

For starting a charitable foundation, the timing could not be better.

Federal government agencies that have supported community-based programs are being re-evaluated and defunded. The same is happening on state and local levels as well.

For larger support organizations this is a tough time.

For small, grassroots organizations, it can be fatal to their missions.

In most port cities, there is a lighthouse that looms bright over the harbor. Its light shines as a beacon for all sailors to rely on when they’re at sea, especially during rough weather.

With a devastating "Sea of Change" now upon us, the underserved communities and their people need "a lighthouse."

More than ever there is a need to support those who serve their local communities by helping them keep their lights on.

Rota’s Mission

This is where the Rota Foundation fits in.

Rota’s primary objective is to award grants to organizations where the funds can have a direct positive impact to their mission.

We hope to assist those who are seeking a progressive path to change their current condition or circumstance through education, opportunity, and exposure.

We plan to donate to organizations that typically serve communities that are small, local and/or comprise a focused group of constituents.

Historically, presently, and likely moving forward there are many organizations - and people - that are underserved by available public resources that seem accessible but are not because their existence is unknown or out of reach of those who could significantly benefit from them.

Cut the Red Tape, Deliver Results

One thing our founder’s career in the Navy and working for businesses taught him is that the larger the business, the slower they move. And the same could be applicable for private foundations as well.

That’s why Rota’s mission is to deliver support as quickly as possible. Community organizations usually don’t have the luxury of sitting around for months to find out if they can deliver services or support to their communities in need.

Our grant application process has been streamlined so it’s neither cumbersome to apply nor is it time-consuming to evaluate the applications.

We know that having the resources as quickly as possible provides the most impact for people in communities who have the greatest need.

Let’s Get Started
